British actors Ralph Fiennes and Hugh Laurie have joined the cast of Will Ferrell comedy Holmes and Watson, a new comedy set up at Sony Pictures.
John C. Reilly is Watson to Ferrell’s Holmes in the planned movie, which is a comedic take in the Sherlock Holmes story, marking the duo’s third movie partnership following Talladega Nights and Step Brothers.
There’s no word on who Fiennes and Laurie will play, but The Hollywood Reporter says that it is thought that their roles will be two of the beloved characters from the original novels by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.
Etan Cohen is directing the film from his own screenplay.
Shooting has already started in London. More as it comes our way.
