Breakout Moonlight star Trevante Rhodes has joined the growing cast of Shane Black’s soon-to-start-shooting The Predator. According to The Hollywood Reporter Rhodes will join the already cast Boyd Holbrook and Olivia Munn.
The film is being kept under wraps, so not plot points or character details are available, but Black will be directing the film from his own screenplay (which he penned with Fred Dekker), and it is thought that Rhodes will play the best friend of Holbrook’s character; both are said to be ex-Marines.
Of course Black appeared in the original movie which debuted with Arnold Schwarzenegger leading all of the way back in 1987. That film was set in the jungle, but the new film is said to have a more suburban setting.
The Predator is set for release in 2018 by 20th Century Fox. We’ll bring you more as it comes our way.
