The Man In The High Castle season 3

Amazon Video‘s The Man In The High Castle has been renewed for a third season. The show had its second season debut during December and has apparently already proved to be popular with fans across the streaming network.

This series, loosely based Philip K. Dick’s novel of the same name, takes a look at what the world might look like had the outcome of World War II turned out differently. In this dystopian scenario, the Axis powers won the war, leading to the United States being divided into three parts, an area controlled by the Japanese, a Nazi-controlled section, and a buffer zone between the two. Despite the oppression, a new hope emerges when films turn up that seem to show a different world. A woman believes the films contain the key to freedom and is determined to find their mysterious guardian.

The Man In The High Castle features a talented cast that includes Alexa Davalos, Rupert Evans, Luke Kleintank, DJ Qualls, Joel De La Fuente, Brennan Brown, Bella Heathcote, along with Callum Keith Rennie, Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa and Rufus Sewell.

The ten episodes that make up season 2 are available on Amazon now, along with the first ten from the big budget debut run.

Eric Overmyer (the talent behind Treme, Bosch, The Affair) will serve as showrunner and executive producer for the new season, which will return in late 2017. Frank Spotnitz, Christian Baute, Isa Dick Hackett, Stewart Mackinnon, Christopher Tricarico and none other than Ridley Scott make up the other exec-producers on the show.

Shooting will take place, possibly in the Washington state and Vancouver regions (where the first two seasons were shot) later this year.

Here’s the announcement trailer from Amazon themselves.
