Spider-Man Homecoming trailer

The very first Spider-Man Homecoming trailer is here, and it is glorious. Tom Holland reprises the role hat he first debuted in this year’s Captain America: Civil War in this brand new movie, directed by Jon Watts (Cop Car). Coming to cinemas this coming July, Spider-Man: Homecoming is a first for the Marvel Studios outfit, as it is a co-production with Sony who hold the license for the iconic character.

Michael Keaton is the villain of this piece, Vulture, while Robert Downey Jr appears as his iconic Iron Man/ Tony Stark. There’s also Jon Favreau, who is also present in the trailer, along with Marisa Tomei as Aunt May, and pop starlet Zendaya in an unknown role.

Holland has been speaking to USA Today about the movie.

“It’s less an action movie and more a character piece about this kid who’s struggling to talk to girls and also struggling to save the city.”

“This is really a movie where Spider-Man’s not the finished article. He really does learn and he makes massive mistakes. It’s nice to see a kid do that and then try to rectify those mistakes,” the actor added.

Holland also spoke about the villain, Vulture, who sounds really rather intense.

“The first time we see the Vulture is terrifying. It’s like a horror movie: really scary, very intense and shocking.”

Donald Glover, Martin Starr, Michael Barbieri, Laura Harrier, Tony Revolori, Angourie Rice, Jacob Batalon, Tyne Daly, and Bokeem Woodbine also have roles in the movie.

Spider-Man: Homecoming is one of three Marvel movies that will grace our screens in 2017, the other two movies being Guardians Of The Galaxy: Vol 2, and Thor: Ragnarok, which bookend Spidey’s latest offering.

Spider-Man: Homecoming swings into cinemas on July 7, 2017. Watch the trailer below.

Oh, and there’s a slightly different international trailer from Sony Pictures Mexico online too…
