Logan early reactions: The word is good for the forthcoming Hugh Jackman-led Wolverine movie, after footage screens across the pond.
More on the Logan early reactions below.
Around 40 minutes of footage was screened from 20th Century Fox’s final Wolverine movie Logan at a special event Stateside, and it is already being highly praised for its dark tone and its gritty ‘western’ style violence.
Various reactions have been tweeted, including one from the hugely respected The Playlist, who had the following to say:
“Fans are finally getting the bloody, primal Wolverine movie they always wanted. Feels more like standalone X-Men movie. More Western and lone samurai film with faint traces of x-superhero mold.”
More reaction surface from others who were also lucky to see some of the movie.
Just saw first act of #Logan. Wait til you guys meet Laura (X-23) — she steals every scene she is in.

First 40 minutes of #Logan better than all 2016 superhero movies.

Okay, saw 40 minutes. Will have an overall write up later, but this is a much more violent, cool version of Wolverine #Logan @joblocom

I think you guys are gonna really love X23. She is not to be fucked with #Logan @joblocom

Zach Snyder wishes he could make a movie as dark and gritty as #Logan

That’s pretty hard praise, right?
The film arrives in cinemas this coming March, and will be Hugh Jackman’s swan song as the clawed member of the X-Men. Sir Patrick Stewart, Boyd Holbrook, Stephen Merchant and Richard E. Grant are amongst the cast of the film, which is directed by James Mangold.
Look out for the film in cinemas from March 3rd. More soon.
