Here’s your very first clip from ‘Passengers’ with Jennifer Lawrence

It usually comes to around this time of year when a new Jennifer Lawrence movie is due. In December/ January for the last few years we’ve been treated to the likes of American Hustle and Joy, and this year we get to see J-Law in a thrilling new science-fiction movie called Passengers, the first clip for which has just arrived online.

In the clip we witness Jennifer’s character of Aurora Lane go for a little swim aboard a spaceship, but, just as she does, there is a sudden loss of gravity which leads to her struggling for air in a life-or-death situation. It really is quite intense.

Chris Pratt also stars alongside her in the romantic sci-fi which is set aboard the a spaceship where, on a routine journey through space to a new home, two passengers, sleeping in suspended animation, are awakened 90 years too early when their ship malfunctions. As Jim and Aurora face living the rest of their lives on board, with every luxury they could ever ask for, they begin to fall for each other, unable to deny their intense attraction until they discover the ship is in grave danger. With the lives of 5,000 sleeping passengers at stake, only Jim and Aurora can save them all.

The film his cinemas in the UK on December 21st, which’ll give you a nice little break away from your Christmas shopping. Morten Tyldum (The Imitation Game) is directing the film from a screenplay by Jon Spaights (Prometheus).
