More Twilight sequels could be on the way from Lionsgate, four years after the last movie The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2 debuted in cinemas.
Speaking to Screen Daily, Lionsgate Motion Picture Group co-chairman Patrick Wachsberger was quoted in saying that there could be a way of returning to the saga, despite all of the current run of books already been made into movies.
“It’s a possibility,” Wachsberger said. “Not a certainty but it’s a possibility. It’s about Stephenie [novelist Stephenie Meyer]. If she wants to tell a story related to those characters we’re here for her.”
The entire Twilight saga, which of course starred Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart, has made an impressive $3.3 billion at the worldwide box-office across the four movies – that last movie along made over $800 million – so it’s now a surprise that Lionsgate would back any future novels being adapted for the big screen.
More as it comes in.
