Annabelle was the spin-off to the fantastically frightening The Conjuring. The film focused on the backstory of the chilling and creepy doll Annabelle. She may have only featured in minutes of James Wan movie, but boy did she make an impression.
The first film had some tense moments, but didn’t seem to capture the same scare-level as the source material. This all looks set to change as next year we’re getting Annabelle 2. Even better, it’s being directed by David F Sandberg, the man who scared us silly this summer with Light’s Out. Here’s a sneaky peek of whats to come:
In “Annabelle 2,” several years after the tragic death of their little girl, a doll-maker and his wife welcome a nun and several girls from a shuttered orphanage into their home, soon becoming the target of the doll-maker’s possessed creation, Annabelle.
Annabelle 2 will arrive in UK cinemas in May 2017.
