Starring David Oyelowo and Rosamund Pike, A United Kingdom tells the incredible true story of Seretse Khama, King of Bechuanaland (modern Botswana), and Ruth Williams, the London office worker he married in 1948 in the face of fierce opposition from their families and the British and South African governments.
The film had its world premiere at Toronto Film Festival over the weekend, and will be opening the London Film Festival 5th October before its UK release on 25th November. We saw the film and absolutely loved it (read our review here), and we also managed to get a few of our thoughts down in a video directly following our screening.
