The new trailer for Paul Verhoeven‘s next film Elle has just landed online, just hours after it was announced to play in-competition at this year’s BFI London Film Festival.
Based on the book “OH…” By Phillipe Djian, the film revolves around Michèle (Isabelle Huppert), head of a leading video game company, who brings the same ruthless attitude to her love life as to business. Being attacked in her home by an unknown assailant changes Michèle’s life forever. When she resolutely tracks the man down, they are both drawn into a curious and thrilling game-a game that may, at any moment, spiral out of control.
Laurent Lafitte from the Comédie-Française, Anne Consigny, Charles Berling, Virgine Aefira, Judith Magre, Christian Berkel, Jonas Bloquet, Alice Isaaz, and Vimila Pons also star.
The film will also play at Toronto (TIFF) next week after a successful debut in Cannes back in May.
Watch the new trailer, and check out some brand new stills below. Elle will open on the 24th February 2017 in the UK.
