The Lifetime network in the US are reportedly planning a new TV movie based on the rise to fame of pop princess Britney Spears. According to Variety, the new film will
The trade says that the film will chart the singer’s rise to fame, and will also focus on the peaks and valleys that occurred throughout her career, in front of the cameras and behind the scenes. The movie will also explore the singer’s relationships with Justin Timberlake, Jason Alexander and Kevin Federline.
Spears is seemingly not affiliated with the project.
The film will simply be called Britney with the title character being played by Natasha Bassett (Hail, Cesar!). Shooting kicks off in September with an air-date of 2017 being eyed.
