We’re just under one month away from the release of action western The Magnificent Seven. The film, from Sony Pictures, officially opens the Toronto Film Festival on September 8th where it receives its world premiere before opening across the UK and the US from September 23rd. To whet your appetite ahead of the release, we have a world exclusive featurette that introduces us to Vincent D’Onofrio‘s character of Jack Horne.
If you’re unfamiliar with the story, here’s a recap.
With the sleepy town of Rose Creek under the deadly control of industrialist Bartholomew Bogue (Peter Sarsgaard), the desperate towns people employ protection from seven outlaws, bounty hunters, gamblers and hired guns – Sam Chisolm (Denzel Washington), Josh Farraday (Chris Pratt), Goodnight Robicheaux (Ethan Hawke), Jack Horne (D’Onofrio), Billy Rocks (Byung-Hun Lee), Vasquez (Manuel Garcia-Rulfo), and Red Harvest (Martin Sensmeier). As they prepare the town for the violent showdown that they know is coming, these seven mercenaries find themselves fighting for more than money.
Antoine Fuqua directs from a screenplay by Nic Pizzolatto and Richard Wenk.
