The Secret Life Of Pets has been warmly received across the planet, and the animated film has just crossed $400 million worldwide (and a huge $300 million in the US alone), and climbing, so a sequel is a no brainer.
That sequel will be with us sooner than we thought, with a release date already set for July 13th 2018 – just two years off – which will be quite an achievement for an animated movie. Chris Renaud will once again direct.
Our review was quite complimentary, though not overly so, saying: “Bright, colourful, with lots of memorable characters, The Secret Life Of Pets may have been best as a short film, but at least it never becomes annoying or shoddy.”
We’ll still look forward to a sequel.
More as it comes our way.
