Warner Brothers are planning a feature length movie featuring Pepe Le Pew. Max Landis was speaking at the San Diego Comic Con about his TV series Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency, and has mentioned that he is hard at work on the animated film, which is based on the classic Looney Tunes character created by Chuck Jones and voiced by Mel Blanc.
The word is that Landis has delivered a wonderful pitch the studio, one that they couldn’t possibly pass up on, and now the talented writer of Chronicle and Victor Frankenstein, is hard at work penning the script.
There’s obviously no mention on timescales in terms of when production may start, but we’re guessing that the studio will want to press ahead as quickly as possible looking at the huge commercial appeal of feature-length animated movies at the moment.
