It has been officially confirmed. Brie Larson will play the role of Carol Danvers AKA Captain Marvel in a new movie set to come to screens in 2019.
The deal has been done and Oscar-winner Larson, who starred in the stunning Room, will take to the role in the planned movie, which has a release pencilled in for March 8th, 2019.
Plot details are being kept under wraps, of course, but Larson was present at the Marvel Studios panel at the San Diego Comic Con over the weekend to deliver her news in person. She also posted a lovely image to social media too.

Ms. Marvel’s current powers include flight, enhanced strength, durability and the ability to shoot concussive energy bursts from her hands.
More news on the Captain Marvel front as it comes in.
