Richard O’Brien’s The Rocky Horror Picture Show is getting the remake treatment over at Fox at the moment, and to co-incide quite nicely with this week’s San Diego Comic Con, the network have released a brand new trailer for the TV event.
The new version stars, amongst others, Laverne Cox, Victoria Justice, and Ryan McCartan and is directed by Kenny Ortega, the man responsible for directing Hocus Pocus, the High School Musical trilogy, Descendants and Michael Jackson’s This Is It. He also did the choreography on Dirty Dancing, so is a bit of a living legend.
The Rocky Horror Picture Show is set to air October 2016. Sweethearts JANET (Justice) and BRAD (McCartan) stumble upon flirtatious mad scientist DR. FRANK-N-FURTER’s (Cox) bizarre abode during his annual Transylvanian science convention. The two-hour event also features Emmy Award nominee Tim Curry, the original Frank-N-Furter.
