Gold, the forthcoming Stephen Gaghan directed drama, which stars Matthew McConaughey, has been given a Christmas debut in the U.S., potentially opening it up for Oscar season voting.
Variety reports that McConaughey stars as a modern-day prospector desperate for a lucky break who teams up with a similarly eager geologist — played by Edgar Ramirez — and sets off to find gold in the uncharted jungle of Indonesia. The film is inspired by a true story, the screenplay written by written by Patrick Massett and John Zinman.
The film is being described as an adventure-drama.
As you can see from the image below, McConaughey sports quite the ‘do’ in the flick.
