Comic Con continues to deliver the goods with two high profile teaser trailers for its upcoming debut Marvel series’ Luke Cage, Iron Fist and The Defenders!
First up, Luke Cage. This Marvel/ Netflix original debuts on the streaming platform from September 30th and will see Cheo Hodari Coker (Notorious, NCIS: Los Angeles) serving as executive producer and showrunner. Coker also wrote the first two episodes in the run. Here’s a bit more about the story, followed by that teaser.
After a sabotaged experiment leaves him with super strength and unbreakable skin, Luke Cage (Mike Colter) becomes a fugitive who attempts to rebuild his life in modern day Harlem, New York City. But soon he is pulled out of the shadows and must fight a battle for the heart of his city – forcing him to confront a past he had tried to bury.
In Iron Fist, Danny Rand (Finn Jones) fights relentlessly to regain everything he’s lost. The series is a little further off with a 2017 street date confirmed. The cast also includes Jessica Henwick as Colleen Wing, David Wenham as Harold Meachum, Jessica Stroup as Joy Meachum, and Tom Pelphrey as Ward Meachum.
Then there’s the business of the third season of Daredevil. Daredevil: Season III was also announced at Comic-Con via the following awesome teaser. Matt Murdock, Deborah Ann Woll, Elden Henso, Scott Glenn, Elodie Yung and Rosario Dawson round out the cast. ETA is 2017.
