There are a couple of website reporting that the sequel to last year’s Jurassic World is all set to start shooting in February 2017, and apart from a couple of weeks lensing in Hawaii, most of the sequel will end up being shot in London, England.
The word on the street (we’re looking at you Jurassic Outpost and you Reel News Hawaii), that some of the production will be based at Pinewood Studios, which is actually just outside of the capital, but other scenes could be shot elsewhere. The man at the helm this time around is J.A. Bayona, the guy responsible for The Impossible and the upcoming A Monster Calls.
Colin Trevorrow, who directed the last movie, will return to co-write the screenplay for this one. Obviously the plot is massively under wraps, but the filmmaker previously had this to say.
Speaking to Wired Magazine Trevorrow said “[It will not be] just a bunch of dinosaurs chasing people on an island, that’ll get old real fast. […] What if there are 15 different entities around the world who can make a dinosaur?”
Intrigued? The new film shoots under the name ‘Ancient Futures’ next year, and of course, we’ll bring you more as it comes in.
Jurassic Park 2, or whatever it may end up being called, will release in 2018.
