Light’s Out

Director: David F. Sandberg

Cast: Teresa Palmer, Maria Bello, Billy Burke

Synopsis: When her little brother, Martin, experiences the same events that once tested her sanity, Rebecca works to unlock the truth behind the terror, which brings her face to face with an entity that has an attachment to their mother, Sophie.

Why We Want to Watch it: Producer James Wan knows his horror films and the fact that he’s put his name to the project should mean great things. The film is also a feature length version of the truly terrifying short of the same name. Better yet, it’s the same director expanding the story so hopefully that points to a strong scare-fest. If you haven’t seen it yet it’s a pants-wettingly scary three minute short that will leave you sleeping with the lights on. Go watch it now.

The Fantasia International Film Festival takes place in Montreal from July 14 through August 2, 2016, once again returning to the SGWU Alumni Auditorium at Concordia University.
