Five years ago Peter Jackson and Steven Spielberg collaborated on The Adventures Of Tintin: The Secret Of The Unicorn, and although sequels were promised, we’ve heard nothing since then.
Well, Spielberg is on the massive promotional tour for The BFG where he spoke with the The New Zealand Herald. He touched on the Tintin movies, which still look to be happening, but not quite yet.
“Peter was so busy with ‘The Hobbit’ that it took him away from ‘Tintin’ and he’s doing another film for my company now. It’s a secret, nobody knows about it. Then after that he’ll do ‘Tintin.'”
What could it be?
The first film in the Tintin series, which was 100% CGI captured, took nearly $300 million around the world back in 2011, more than enough to warrant a sequel.
More news on this top secret project as we get it.
