The first trailer for real-life drama Sully has landed online ahead of its release later in the year. The film, directed by Clint Eastwood and starring Tom Hanks, Aaron Eckhart and Laura Linney, revolves around the successful landing of a plane full of passengers on New York’s Hudson river, which saved all 155 lives on board.
Looking at the press material we’ve just received, the film could be titled Sully: Miracle On The Hudson on UK soil. Here’s the official synopsis.
On January 15, 2009, the world witnessed the “Miracle on the Hudson” when Captain “Sully” Sullenberger glided his disabled plane onto the frigid waters of the Hudson River, saving the lives of all 155 aboard. However, even as Sully was being heralded by the public and the media for his unprecedented feat of aviation skill, an investigation was unfolding that threatened to destroy his reputation and his career.
Sully: Miracle On The Hudson will be released in UK cinemas on December 2nd, 2016. Check out the first look image from the film, which we got a look at early yesterday, and the first poster.
