Will ‘Rogue One’ have a crawling title sequence?

We’ve got a little under six months until Rogue One: A Star Wars Story descends on us, so that means there’s less than six months until Christmas, which is a little scary. Anyway, Lucasfilm have opened up about whether the first Star Wars spin-off will have the iconic title crawl at the start or not. Well, it seems it’s still not 100% clear.

Kathleen Kennedy spoke with Entertainment Weekly as part of their huge cover special, and the Lucasfilm president spoke a little about what we may expect.

“We talk about that all the time. It’s something that we’re right in the midst of discussing even now, so I don’t want to say definitively what we’re doing,” Kennedy said. “The crawl and some of those elements live so specifically within the ‘saga’ films that we are having a lot of discussion about what will define the [stand-alone] Star Wars Stories separate and apart from the saga films. So we’re right in the middle of talking about that.”

Personally, I think they should probably go without the crawl to separate it from its predecessors, and I’m guessing we won;t know until we’re sat in our cinema seats this December 16th. So, what do you all think? Should Rogue One have the crawl?

We’ll bring you more on Rogue One as we hear.
