eOne have just made available two new posters and a glorious new featurette for The BFG, the brand new feature adaptation of the film which comes to cinemas this summer from director Steven Spielberg.
THE BFG is the exciting tale of a young London girl and the mysterious Giant who introduces her to the wonders and perils of Giant Country. Based on the beloved novel by Roald Dahl, “The BFG” (Big Friendly Giant) was published in 1982 and has been enchanting readers of all ages ever since. Dahl’s books, which also include “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory,” “James and the Giant Peach,” “Matilda” and “Fantastic Mr. Fox,” are currently available in 58 languages and have sold over 200 million copies worldwide.
We managed to catch the film at the Cannes Film Festival last month, and trust us, it’s very good. We called it ‘Speileberg’s best family film for many years and a hugely enjoyable event movie. For some, the holidays won’t belong to superheroes or talking animals – it’ll belong to a 24-foot big friendly giant.’ It really is an absolute treat.
Take a look at the two new posters, as well as a new featurette featuring Mark Rylance, who plays the title character below.
The BFG opens in cinemas on July 22nd.
