The Enfield Haunting is the most documented paranormal event in history and forms the inspiration for the forthcoming The Conjuring 2. Directed by James Wan we join paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren as they seek to help a single mother and her family who have been targeted by a wicked spirit. The story has been told several times over the years, most recently in the television show The Enfield Haunting, and we have high hopes for the film.
Ahead of the release next month a new featurette has been released and it has to be one of the most interesting featurettes we’ve seen in a while. Rather than being the cast chatting about the movie this one changes tact and has the real-life Lorraine Warren and Janet Hodgson talking through their experiences at Enfield. Featuring actual recordings taken during the 1970’s haunting it’s quite the creepy package. We highly recommend watching it with the lights on.

The Conjuring was a box office success, smashing records for the horror genre everywhere and was actually rather good. We were invited to a special screening of The Conjuring in a haunted house, complete with night of trying to contact the spirits which lived there. Needless to say it was a rather sinister affair and we’re not sure we’d be up for a repeat for the sequel.
The Conjuring 2 arrives in UK cinemas on 13th June, watch it if you dare.
