Emma Roberts and Dave Franco lead forthcoming teen thriller Nerve.
Nerve revolves around an online game / reality series based around the age old game of Truth or Dare. Let’s face it when you played the game as a teenager it always got a little boring. There was always that one person who would say dare and then bulk and ask for a truth instead. The game featured in Nerve addresses that by dropping the truth option. Rather than pick between truth or dare people instead choose whether they want to be a watcher or a player. Watchers send in tasks for the players to complete and players get money for every task or dare they endure. Check out the trailer now:
Heading the cast are the duo of Emma Roberts and Dave Franco, both have are clearly hoping that this might be the movie to get them out of the shadow of their more famous family members. Joining Roberts and Franco are a plethora of Orange is the New Black cats members (Samira Wiley and Kimiko Glenn) as well as the wonderful Juliette Lewis. Working behind the camera are Henry Joost and Ariel Schulman, the pair behind Catfish and two of the Paranormal Activity Films.
Nerve will arrive in US cinemas on July 27th, a UK date has yet to be announced.
