There’s a couple of months to go until Star Trek Beyond completes the trilogy of movies in the current run of movies over at Paramount, but it looks like the studio may already be planning a fourth film in the series.
According to Trek Movie, Paramount have already logged a title (Star Trek 4) at the Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA), which is what you need to do initially to register a project. The aforementioned website also reports that both Chris Pine and Zachary Quinto have also already signed on for a fourth film in the series.
Star Trek Beyond hits cinemas in July from director Justin Lin, but he’s expected to go off an direct Space Jam 2 post-Beyond, so we’re guessing that if there will indeed be a fourth film in the series, they will need a new director.
We’ll keep you posted.
