Just a couple of days ago, we brought you news than some second unit photography for Fast 8, the eighth film in The Fast and Furious series, had been shot in both Cuba and Iceland. Well, now it looks like principal photography has kicked off officially as the production tweeted a brief video from Cuba.

Vin Diesel is also in the country, so we’re guessing that he’s also started shooting scenes for the sequel, which should hit screens next April. The actor posted a video from the set to his Instagram page.

F. Gary Gray directs, and Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibon, Chris ‘Ludacris’ Bridges and Dwayne Johnson are also expected to return. Charlize Theron plays the villain this time around.
