Sam Mendes is set to head to Italy this year to become head of the jury at this year’s Venice Film Festival.
The news was announced Wednesday, just days after the talented British director named his next project, the adaptation of Gay Talese’s article The Voyeur’s Motel. Mendes has a huge body of work, and as well as his film efforts, that include the last two James Bond movies, Skyfall and Spectre, there are the award-winning theatre productions, including his most recent directorial effort, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, which is in its final year in London’s West End.
The 73rd Venice Film Festival runs from August 31-September 10th.
