Sigourney Weaver has revealed that Neil Blomkamp’s planned Alien movie may be still on the cards, but after Ridley Scott releases his sequel to Prometheus.
Aggressive Comix picked up on an appearance that Weaver made over at VMWare, where she was asked if the Blomkamp movie is still happening?
“Well, I think it is”, she said. “Ridley asked Neill not to make our Alien til after Prometheus 2. He [Ridley Scott] wanted his movie to shoot and be released first”.
She continues, “it’s an amazing script, and Neill and I are really excited about doing it. We’re doing other things until we can get going on that”.
“I’d be really surprised if we didn’t do it, because it’s such a great script, and we love working together”, she said. “So, it’s just going to take a little bit longer to get out to you, but it’ll be worth the wait”.
Great news for Alien fans the? Ridley Scott’s Prometheus sequel, which is being called Alien: Covenant, will release in cinemas in October of 2017.
