It opens the Cannes Film Festival in the south of France next month, but ahead of that, we have the very first trailer for Woody Allen’s film for 2016, Café Society.
Café Society stars Jeannie Berlin, Steve Carell, Jesse Eisenberg, Blake Lively, Parker Posey, Kristen Stewart, Corey Stoll, and Ken Stott, and will open in theatres later in the year. Woody Allen directs from his own screenplay.
The film tells the story of a young man who arrives in Hollywood during the 1930s hoping to work in the film industry, falls in love, and finds himself swept up in the vibrant café society that defined the spirit of the age.
This is actually the French version, so expect a few subtitles to pop up throughout. We’ll be in Cannes to bring you our full review once we get in front of it, so check back on the site as the world premiere debuts on opening day, May 11th. Here’s the trailer.
