The planned Blade Runner sequel, which must be starting up shooting very soon, is set to arrive in cinemas slightly sooner than originally planned.
The Denis Villeneuve directed Blade Runner 2, was set to arrive in cinemas on 12th January, 2018, but Alcon Entertainment have now brought that release date forward to October 6th, 2017. There’s no real explanation for this, other than that they’ve decided not to spill any details about the plot. The first movie was based on Philip K. Dick’s novel “Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?”
What we do know is that Ryan Gosling, Robin Wright, Dave Bautista and Harrison Ford will be in the sequel, with original helmer Ridley Scott producing.
We’ll bring you more as we get it.
