Channing Tatum Kingsman 2 casting: Actor tweets that he’s ‘about to get all up in that Golden Circle’
The cast of the forthcoming Kingsman: The Golden Circle just got a little bigger as it has been revealed that none other than Channing Tatum has joined the cast. More on the Channing Tatum Kingsman 2 news below.
Word of Tatum joining the Matthew Vaughn project comes via the actor’s own Twitter page where he just posted the following.

As you can see, the poster is very similar to the one alluding to Colin Firth‘s character’s return for the sequel, but hints that Tatum may be playing the character ‘Statesman’ in the film, the U.S. counterpart of Taron Egerton’s character. The poster has the words ‘My Momma always told me the British gave us Southerners our good manners’. Tatum writes, ‘I’m about to get all up in that Golden Circle. #Kingsman‘ in his tweet.
The new movie continues the adventures of a wayward tough (Egerton) from the wrong side of London who was taken in and, a la Pygmalion, turned into the best and brightest of British operatives.
Egerton will return to play Eggsy in the movie, and Julianne Moore is set for the film’s villain. We’ve reported over the past couple of weeks that Halle Berry has been linked with a role in the film, possibly as the head of the C.I.A., and just yesterday news reached THN HQ that Elton John is in negotiations for a part in the film. We’re hearing that the musician will possible be playing himself.
Matthew Vaughn is also scripting Kingsman: The Golden Circle, along with Jane Goldman, and shooting is set to start in the next few weeks. More on the Channing Tatum Kingsman 2 casting as the shoot starts, which we’re expecting to be very soon indeed. Exciting stuff.
