I’ve been a self-proclaimed Cameron Crowe fan for many years now but Aloha baffled even me and so with his career in dire need of something positive, he returns to those music roots with upcoming Showtime series Roadies and it looks fantastic.
HBO’s Vinyl was tasty but this 10-show season will be ‘stories about life, music, love and all points in between‘ and something very different. It debuts in US on 26 June with a great cast that includes Imogen Poots, Luke Wilson, Carla Gugino, Rafe Spall, Keisha Castle-Hughes, Peter Cambor, Colson Baker and Ron White.
The series is backed by J.J. Abrams’ Bad Robot alongside executive producer Winnie Holzman because it’s somewhat a passion project for Abrams and Crowe, as they’ve reportedly been talking about it for a long time now as we go behind-the-scenes of the lives of the people who make it all come together: the Crew!
