Kristofer Hivju will star as a henchman in the forthcoming action sequel.
Game Of Thrones actor Kristofer Hivju is set to star in the soon-to-start-shooting Fast and Furious 8.
Hivju, who plays the character of Tormund Giantsbane on HBO’s huge TV series, will play a bad-guy henchman in the planned action sequel, which will be directed by F. Gary Gray (Straight Outta Compton). The word around the camp-fire is that the villain of the piece will be female this time around, and actress Charlize Theron has been linked to the role, but Universal have not as yet confirmed her casting.
Hivju’s previous movie outings include the remake of The Thing, opposite Mary Elizabeth Winstead, and the M. Night Shyamalan film After Earth.
Fast 8 will star Vin Diesel, Dwayne Johnson, Tyrese Gibson, Ludacris, Michelle Rodriguez and Jason Statham as Deckard Shaw. It is expected in cinemas in April 2017, and shooting is expected to start in the next couple of months (although some filming has apparently taken place over in Iceland). Additional locations are said to be New York City and Cuba with the film set to become the biggest movie to ever shoot in the country.
