Official Doctor Strange photo: Marvel give us our first proper look at the ‘Phase 3’ movie.
The folks at Marvel Studios have delivered the first official Doctor Strange photo which shows off star Benedict Cumberbatch in full costume.
We’ve seen many Doctor Strange set pics over the past few weeks, and now that the film has officially wrapped over in New York City, the studio are starting to plot their promotional campaign in advance of its big November release. The promo image comes via Comic Book Movie.

Doctor Strange follows the story of neurosurgeon Doctor Stephen Strange who, after a horrific car accident, discovers the hidden world of magic and alternate dimensions.
Doctor Strange is the latest film in Phase 3 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Phase 3’s goal—over the course of four years and nine films—is to introduce audiences to new heroes and continue the adventures of fan favorites.
As well as Cumberbatch, the cast includes some pretty big names, including Chiwetel Ejiofor, Rachel McAdams, Michael Stuhlbarg, Mads Mikkelsen, and Tilda Swinton. The film is directed by Scott Derrickson.
Doctor Strange opens across the planet, the second Marvel movie of the year following this month’s Captain America: Civil War, which is bound to kick off quite nicely for the studio. November 4, 2016. Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Charles Newirth, Stephen Broussard, and Stan Lee are executive producers.
We’re super-excited for this, partly because of that impressive cast, and with Derrickson on board as well, we’re all in for a treat. We’ll find out for sure as we get that first trailer very soon ahead of the big day this winter.
