He’s out and about on the promotional tour for Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice, and Zack Snyder has commented on another series of movies that he was heavily involved with a couple of years back. 300 and its sequel 300: Rise Of An Empire got quite the following, and Snyder, who directed the first film and produce the second, said there may be more of them on the way.
Speaking with Collider, the filmmaker said: “We’ve been talking a lot about sort of different incarnations of 300. We’ve been talking about is there a way, possibly, we move out of Ancient Greece and use it as a framing device for other conflicts that happened throughout history. I think I mentioned that we talked about the Revolutionary War version, and we talked about the Alamo, and we’ve talked about there’s a battle in China, a ‘Lost Legion’ kind of concept, any of those kinds of things are on the table”.
That’s pretty much all that he had to say, but it sounds promising, and we really enjoyed both movies in the series, and that is a pretty interesting direction to be taking things if the concept progresses. More as we get it.
