We’ve been excited about upcoming horror anthology Holidays ever since we heard that Kevin Smith and the guys (Dennis Widmyer and Kevin Kölsch) from Starry Eyes were involved. The film sees the best and brightest of the current crop of genre filmmakers each tackle a different national holiday. Today word reached us that the film will have its world premiere at the 2016 Tribeca Film Festival on 14th April. Joint distributors Vertical Entertainment and XYZ Films will then coordinate a global day-and-date digital release the following day, 15th April. This means that we’re a mere month away from seeing what delights the devious directors have cooked up. Here’s a brand new Holidays trailer to tide us over whilst we wait.
Last year’s anthology offering, Tales of Halloween was fantastic, but definitely aired on the side of comedy more so than horror, this doesn’t appear to be the case with Holidays. The above trailer shows a movie much darker in tone and content – what the Hell is coming out of that woman?! If the trailer isn’t enough for you, we’ve also gotten our hands on a fresh set of stills, including one of the aforementioned lady.
Holidays will arrive on global digital platforms from Friday 15th April.
