If you haven’t yet seen the trailer for the new Nicolas Cage and Elijah Wood thriller The Trust, then head over to our post right here! Below are new images for the film that we’re calling the start of the Cage renaissance which is long overdue, after he’s flitted around average titles, where he’s always been great but the films have been questionable.
Directed by Alex Brewer and Benjamin Brewer, The Trust is debuting at #SXSW on March 13, so if you’re over in Austin then – once again – we’re still jealous but also, make sure you check it out. This cop thriller stars Cage as Stone and Wood as Waters, two every day police officers who work in the evidence room of the LA Police Department. “When Stone discovers an unusually high bail receipt in connection to a drug bust, the two friends set in motion a plan to find the source of the money.”
We’d also recommend The Frozen Ground that Cage co-starred in with John Cusack recently but in the meantime, enjoy these new The Trust stills…
The Trust opens in the UK on 27 May and is showing at SXSW this weekend.
