Putting together a great cast, this first trailer for Welcome To Me has a slightly odd edge but I can’t decide whether that’s charming or too off-kilter at this stage. The marvellous Kristen Wiig plays Alice Klieg, a woman who’s described as having a ‘Borderline Personality Disorder’ who wins the lottery, quits her meds, and buys a talk show for herself.
Looking at the team behind this, and certainly from the trailer, it doesn’t feel too misguided as they’re trying to bring a different look at to the lead character but it also seems to state that money really can buy you anything you want… but can it buy you your mind? I guess that would be the question..? I’m open to find out.
Have a watch for yourself below and let us know what you think. Welcome to Me is directed by Shira Piven (Fully Loaded), it co-stars James Marsden, Wes Bentley, Joan Cusack, Alan Tudyk and Tim Robbins, the film comes to cinemas and is exclusive to Sky Store from March 25.
Welcome To Me opens in cinemas and available on Sky Store on 25 March.
