Daisy Ridley is apparently being spoken about in the same breath as the planned Tomb Raider reboot. Sources over at Deadline suggest that, while no formal negotiations have started, producers are having conversations about Ridley becoming the next Lara Croft, following in the footsteps of Angelina Jolie. Jolie starred in Lara Croft: Tomb Raider and its sequel Lara Croft: Cradle Of Life.
Ridley is best known for her role of Rey in Star Wars: The Force Awakens, and is currently shooting the next film in the series, which we only know as Star Wars: Episode VIII presently.
The Tomb Raider reboot is a co-production between Warner Bros and MGM, with GK Films’ Graham King producing.
