This is the least surprising news of the week, but some that will no doubt please fans across the planet. It looks like Chewbacca will appear in Phil Lord and Christopher Miller‘s stand-alone Star Wars Han Solo movie. Disney head-honcho Bob Iger confirmed the news at the Deutsche Bank 2016 Media, Internet & Telecom Conference this week.
Hopefully we’ll get to see how Han met Chewie in the early years of their intergalactic adventures. The film is set for a 2018 release date, so plenty of time to go, but we’re expecting to find out how will fill the shoes of Harrison Ford in his iconic role.
The specific date for the Solo movie debut is May 25, 2018. Get that in your diaries pronto.
More as we get it.
