The first new ‘Ghostbusters’ trailer is here!

It’s been a long-time coming, but finally, the trailer for the Paul Feig directed, all-female reboot of the classic ghost-busting series has been released. It’s our first real look of the cast members interacting with one another from the film, as well as their (probable) interpretations inspired by the beloved characters of Egon, Ray, Peter and Winston.

It is however, being met with scrupulous negativity – and I would like to take this opportunity to discuss this for a moment. I’d like to remind our audience members that judging a film entirely by the trailer can lead to disappointing results, and is not always representative of the final product. The Lord of the Rings teaser trailer made it look unsettlingly cheap for example, and one of the main trailers for Eternal Sunshine for a Spotless Mind made it out to be an upbeat comedy, which it clearly isn’t. We’re reserving our judgement for the film until we go see it, and we will  of course be providing you with a review when we do…

Initial impressions of Ghostbusters from the trailer seem to show that the ghosts are excellently rendered, some of the writing feels a tad weak, but the ladies have the look down and are ready to kick some spectral butt! Starring Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnonMelissa McCarthy, Leslie Jones and Chris Hemsworth.

Take a watch:
