The planned X-Men spin-off movie Gambit, which will be led by Channing Tatum, has been delayed. It’s not surprising news as Fox had a provisional date set for October of this year, though not one frame of footage has been shot on the project as yet.
There hasn’t been a specific date set for the film, which will now be directed by Doug Liman, but we’re guessing sometime in 2017. The studio has, however, set two dates for two upcoming Marvel movies, which are October 6th, 2017 and January 12th, 2018. We’re guessing that Gambit will fill the first, and the Deadpool sequel the second, after its massive haul of cash in a winter release spot a few weeks ago.
