Daredevil and The Walking Dead star Jon Bernthal has joined the cast of Edgar Wright’s in-production Baby Driver, so reports Deadline. Bernthal will play the character of Griff in the film.
Deadline reports that the film ‘follows a crime boss named Doc (Kevin Spacey), who coerces a young, talented getaway driver known as Baby (Ansel Elgort) to work for him. Baby relies on the beat of his personal soundtrack to shield him from the chaos that surrounds him, but he must face the music when a doomed heist threatens his life, love and freedom.’
As we said, shooting is now underway on the film, which also stars Jamie Foxx, John Hamm, Eiza Gonzalez and Lily James.
Wright directs from his own screenplay. The film will open in 2017.
