J J Abrams proved that he would make one heck of a magician last year. Whilst the world was fixated on the release of the latest Star Wars film, no one seemed to notice that he was also working on birthing a sequel to monster mayhem found-footage film Cloverfield.
The first trailer arrived out of nowhere last month, but since then we’ve been treated to more and more footage from the pseudo-sequel 10 Cloverfield Lane. Plot details are still sketchy, but from the looks of the footage we’ve seen thus far it will address the tag that ‘monsters come in many forms’.
The film stars John Goodman as a man whom, if this new clip is to be believed, has rescued Mary Elizabeth Winstead and John Gallagher Jr from the monster glimpsed in the first film. Unfortunately the trapped pair don’t quite see the situation the same way. So far this is looking like it could be very good indeed, a nice little twisting and claustrophobic tale.
We don’t have too much longer to wait though as 10 Cloverfield Lane arrives in UK cinemas on 18th March 2016.
