The prequel sequel to Snow White and the Huntsman portends audiences of a power unlike the world has ever seen in the latest trailer for The Huntsman: Winter’s War below.
Delving further into the inimical relationship between evil sisters Queen Ravenna (Charlize Theron) and Freya (Emily Blunt), the clip reveals the catalyst for the sisters’ animosity and their ensuing battle for supremacy.
Heartbroken by loss and her sister’s betrayal, Freya escapes their kingdom only to build an ice fortress around her heart. Without her child to raise, Freya turns to raising and training an almighty army of mighty warriors led by Eric (Chris Hemsworth) and Sara (Jessica Chastain) – her Huntsmen –so as to exact revenge and reclaim her Kingdom.
It’s a classic Grimms folk tale in every macabre sense of the word.
The Huntsman: Winter’s War opens in UK cinemas on April 8th and in US cinemas from April 22nd, 2016.
