There are whisperings this morning that Mad Max: Fury Road star Charlize Theron is being lined up to play the female villain in ‘Fast 8,’ the eighth movie in The Fast and Furious series.
Chris Morgan is currently writing the screenplay for the movie, and F. Gary Gray is lined up to direct the film later this year.
The news that a female villain is bound for the franchise comes from Deadline, and eyes are pointing at Theron, who has previously worked with director Gray on the remake of The Italian Job. Universal haven’t commented.
More news as we get it.
