Kim Basinger has joined the cast of the Fifty Shades Of Grey sequel Fifty Shades Darker. The L.A. Confidential star will play the character of Elena Lincoln in the planned sequel, a former lover of Christian Grey who apparently introduced him to the world of BDSM.
The first film in the three-part series opened in cinemas last year, and grossed a huge $570 million worldwide. The series is obviously based on E L James’ novels.
Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson will reprise their roles of Grey and Anastasia Steele in ‘Darker’, which will open in cinemas on Valentine’s Day, 2017. James Foley will direct from a screenplay by Niall Leonard.
