News reaches us that Fox have just ordered a new TV pilot based on the classic story of The Exorcist. The network have ordered an adaptation of William Peter Blatty‘s book The Exorcist with the hope that it will be good enough to commission for a series.
The Hollywood Reporter reports that the pilot will be a ‘modern reinvention inspired by William Blatty’s original book, The Exorcist is a propulsive, serialized psychological thriller following two very different men tackling one family’s case of horrifying demonic possession, and confronting the face of true evil.’
Jeremy Slater (Fantastic Four) will write the one-hour pilot of for 20th Century Fox Television and Morgan Creek.
